Dezeen Showroom: soft terracotta textures and decorative designs meet in the Artcraft tile collection, created by Italian brand Marazzi.
The Artcraft collection consists of small-size porcelain stoneware tiles in square, rectangular and hexagonal shapes, all combining a traditional look with contemporary manufacturing techniques.
The colours and textures of the tiles are based on natural terracotta, with its sandy texture and subtle mottling around the edges, and this reference is reinterpreted in both solid colours and patterned designs.
The decor options include two classical patterns, Segni and Qadri, as well as the more contemporary Triangoli and Bolli – tone-on-tone triangle and circle patterns. There is also Bande, a structural pattern with debossed lines.
Marazzi refers to the Artcraft collection as “the perfect blend of age-old traditional skills and cutting-edge industrial porcelain stoneware” and offers it in natural or semi-matt finishes.
ArtCraft is part of the Crogiolo collection, which takes inspiration from the look and feel of handmade tiles, with their subtle, endearing imperfections.
