We are officially into my favourite time of year. Although I love Autumn and Winter for interiors as it fits my aesthetic perfectly, I also love winter fashion. There’s nothing better than layering up with cardigans, knits and jumpers!

This year the fashion trends are really made for my style, there’s an abundance of neutrals, slouchy jumpers and chunky accessories so it’s been really hard to pick out my favourites. I have managed to narrow down my top pieces from my favourite retailers for you. Here is my Autumn/Winter fashion edit to keep you cosy this year.

H&M
H&M Jumpers and Knits

I love all the slouchy jumpers that are around this season. They look effortlessly stylish yet comfortable to do all the daily errands and school run in. I particularly like this Rib-knit turtleneck jumper from H&M.

Alternatively I also really like this collared jumper with an open collar and relaxed fit for the ultimate smart but casual look.

This oversized sweater vest looks great on its own or would also be great for layering with a thinner top underneath.

If you want something a bit lighter but still definitely a winter wardrobe staple I recommend this Rib knit top from H&M. I have purchased the black one for myself already but I’m also going to buy the paler colours.

Sometimes I want a cardigan instead of a jumper. This Rib Knit Cardi from H&M is super versatile and comes in this colour called “greige” which I love.

H&M Winter Dresses

It’s good to have a choice of outfits and H&M have several dresses this winter that are great for the day or evening. Knitted dresses are so versatile and can be dressed up or down. These three are my favourites – Tie belted knitted dress, collared knitted dress and beige knitted dress

H&M Jackets

You don’t always want a big winter coat especially if you are back in the office or layering up with knits and jumpers. A great jacket can really make a winter outfit. I love this H&M beige double-breasted jacket, it would be great for work and play.

I’m also so happy that shearling is still on trend this year as it is so cosy and warm. The green hooded faux shearling jacket is a great splash of colour and looks very comfortable. Another option is the beige faux shearling jacket

&OtherStories Long Lasting Staples

One of my go to retailers for all round staples and this year is no different. These belted high-waisted trousers will see you through Autumn/Winter and into Spring.

I think these chunky Chelsea Suede Boots also from &OtherStories are fab. They are great to wear with jeans and dresses and something a bit different to a plain Chelsea boot.

French Connection Favourite Winter Essentials

A winter coat is a wardrobe essential and it’s a good idea to invest in one that will see you through many seasons. This Alundina Puffer Jacket is really warm and your own portable duvet! I have just purchased this for myself and I am testing it out!

For those extra cold days this Blanket Scarf will keep you warm and cosy but still effortlessly stylish.

Other Top Winter Fashion Picks

Every winter outfit needs a bag and this Anine Bing mini saffron tote is a timeless design. It has enough space to keep your on-the-go essentials safe and secure. It’s crafted in neutral linen and features two durable leather straps.

All the lovely jumpers and cardis can be smartened up with a beautiful shirt underneath. This scalloped edge shirt from Cos comes in a classic dusty white hue, and has long-sleeves featuring a modern scalloped edge on both the collar and cuff. The curved hem adds a tailored detail.

I had to get another pair of shoes in the list and as I tend to keep it neutral with clothing, sometimes it’s great to make more of a statement with your feet! I love this colour of New Balance trainers in Black Fig.

There were so many pieces I could have used for this blog. There is a lot to love this year if you enjoy neutral colours and cosy classics. I think all of these picks could be mixed and matched together and any items you buy this year will fit in with your current wardrobe.
