The Hosting Kitchen is a versatile environment featuring a fully functional kitchen, bar, and lounge area. Thoughtfully designed to cater to a variety of events, from roundtable discussions and networking breakfasts to CPD sessions, cocktail parties, and intimate dinners, the space is set to become a hub for creativity and connection.

Designed by Woulfe has meticulously consulted on every aspect of the space, from layout and material selection to fixtures and fittings. The earthy tones of Argile’s Vert de Moneteau paint harmonise with the robust surfaces, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere. Lighting from Cameron Design House and J Adams & Co adds to the ambiance, transforming the space into a luxurious and welcoming setting.

Roundhouse Design’s contribution to the Hosting Kitchen centres on the well equipped and fully operational kitchen, which serves as the space’s focal point. Here, Domus’s exquisite range of hard surface porcelain slabs crafted by Tailor Made, including Domus Yamuna, prominently showcased on the expertly fabricated kitchen worktops, splashback and central cooking island. Complemented by cutting-edge Gaggenau appliances, the kitchen is perfectly suited for live cooking demonstrations, making it a dynamic centrepiece for engaging events.

Adjacent to the kitchen, the bar area—also designed by Roundhouse Design—highlights worktops crafted from Domus Eccentric Luxe Caramel slabs by Tailor Made. Outfitted with a Gaggenau wine fridge and a Quooker tap, this versatile space is equally well-suited for hosting breakfast meetings or cocktail masterclasses, offering flexibility for a wide range of events.

Complementing the kitchen area, a bespoke banquette, handmade in Cheltenham by Lyndon and upholstered with fabric from Romo, adds a touch of comfort and elegance to the space. This is further enhanced by a Tailor Made custom coffee table crafted from Domus porcelain slabs and Franchi International’s matt bronze switch plates and sockets which seamlessly blend with the showroom’s sophisticated design, creating an inviting living area designed to encourage collaboration and discussion.

A striking hand-painted mural by artist Jan Erika adorns the space, depicting faces and figures that symbolise the community of creative professionals who will gather in the Hosting Kitchen. The mural, which flows from the kitchen wall and over the banquette seating like ivy, is painted in harmonious Argile tones, reflecting the space’s overall design ethos.

The Hosting Kitchen is part of a comprehensive renovation of the Domus Battersea showroom, the most significant since its opening in 2004. The revamped showroom now features updated materials, refreshed room sets, and enhanced workspace and furniture for staff, reflecting Domus’s commitment to innovation and excellence in design.
