Ilkeston-based flooring specialist Designer Carpet has announced it now stocks the full Anywhere Ca-rPET collection from Alternative Flooring, including the recently expanded Diamond range.
The collection, which transforms recycled plastic bottles into soft, sisal-look carpeting, offers homeowners an accessible way to make greener choices without compromising on style or comfort. Approximately 35-40 plastic bottles are recycled to create just one square metre of carpet, with the material diverted from landfill through a process that collects, cleans and melts the plastic before spinning it into rPET yarn.

Customers are often surprised by how soft it feels underfoot when they learn it’s made from bottles.”
The range mimics natural sisal textures but offers greater durability and weather resistance, making it suitable for conservatories, hallways, patios and garden rooms. Available in 4 and 5 metre widths, the carpets can also be made into custom rugs and runners with whipped or bordered edges.
Designer Carpet’s appointment-only showroom on Quarry Hill Industrial Estate allows customers to see and feel samples from over 20 premium brands including Alternative Flooring, Crucial Trading and Brintons, with prices up to 85% below recommended retail.
