When walking towards one of the locations of XTant,  we discovered Mouna, a hidden gem in La Lonja, Palma. It was the interior that first caught my eye and drew me in. The pebbled floor, just like in Paola Navone’s house in Milan, which I had the privilege of visiting a few years ago. Take a look here: Pizza and wine at the home of Paola Navone. The stucco walls and beamed ceilings with chandeliers. And let’s not forget the facade in a beautiful warm hue with a cozy terrace and located on a beautiful little square with a fountain.

Located in an early 20th-century mansion in the old shipyards of Palma de Mallorca, I was struck by the serene atmosphere and the simple decor as soon as I stepped inside. In addition to a few low dining spots in the spacious entrance, including a sitting area with a bookcase filled with beautiful books. There are 3 more rooms where you can eat. We immediately decided that we would eat here that evening. And of course I took a few photos to get you in the mood for a visit to this wonderful restaurant when you happen to visit Palma. I had a beautiful tagliatelle and the best will also admit that we went back the next evening to eat here again.

Artisan cuisine

Mouna is an artisan cuisine, and Espai Buit, a meeting place, where only plant-based dishes, prepared with fresh, local ingredients, are served. Mouna, meaning “silence” in Sanskrit, proposes “escaping” the modern diet, a product of industrial agriculture monocultures, by cooking seasonal foods that nourish the body and spirit.

I never make pictures of food, but I had to make a picture of these Padron peppers to not forget to make a Romanesca sauce with them next time I make them at home, so good!!
