Earlier this year I visited Saint Tropez for the first time again as an adult, and did I love it! I always had the misconception it was all bling and glamour. What I found was a perfect mix of a few tourists, but more important, history, beautiful alleys and squares and friendly locals.
Dior Cafe turned out to be one of my favourite places to go for an afternoon drink and of course some people watching… Saint Tropez certainly has its own Milanese ‘sciura’s’ enjoying themselves at the terrace with their well dressed gentleman friends. And ofcourse the majestic store with its beautiful stairs and home collection.
A village to return
I love a good restaurant with white table linen and a laid back atmosphere and Le Senequier was one of my other favourite places to go at night. While having dinner at this typical French restaurant on the boats in the harbor, where the restaurant is located, the lights are turned on and the strolling along the yachts begins. I can imagine it being full of people in the touristy season.
We had a great few days, visiting nearby villages, going to the beach and strolling through Saint Tropez visiting fashion and interior stores, and the large Saturday market. I was happy to be with Anouk and her daughter who had been there before recently and knew all the places to go. And in the meantime we celebrated our upcoming collaboration. I am sure you have seen some colourful holiday stories at the account of We Are Wow Makers. It is always more fun to travel together with a dear friend and Saint Tropez is certainly a place I would love to return.
