Earlier this year I was in Paris, and besides my usual addresses and the interior design shops I always visit, I decided to broaden my horizons a bit and visit some interior design galleries. I always prefer interiors, sculptural design and beautiful natural materials, such as wood, stone and ceramics. I love the tranquility that I encountered in the galleries anyway and it was something that I wanted to add more often to my list of to do’s in a new city. By the way, most of the places that I visited I had found through my followers on Instagram.

Galerie Armel Soyer
When I visited Saint Tropez earlier this year with a friend and her daughter we passed by Galerie Armel Soyer At the entrance a large wooden arch made by Carlès et Marquet caught my attention. Inside a table by the same artist and different other objects. You find their work her in this link Carlès et Marquet.
I had to take a look inside and took some pictures and kindly received some more information from the super friendly staff. Here is a small impression of the gallery, which is definitely worth a visit if you come to Saint Tropez. I show you a few pieces here, please visit the galerie website for all other.

Beautiful also the sculptures by Coralie Bonnet in white sandstone chamotte. Coralie Bonnet also create different decorative wall pieces in Sandstone which beautifully stood out in the back of the galerie
And the Solid fir wood stele, which is shaped with a chainsaw by Remi Portal was just amazing. Its natural charcoal effect texture is achieved through sandblasting and pure China ink.

Eerder dit jaar in Parijs was, besloot ik naast mijn vaste adressen en de Interieur winkels die ik altijd wel een bezoek breng mijn horizon wat meer te verleggen en wat interior design galleries te bezoeken. Ik heb er al wat van laten zien, kijk maar hier: 3 Parisian galleries to visit next time in Paris.
Mijn voorkeur gaat altijd uit naar interieurs, sculptural design en mooie natuurlijke materialen, zoals hout, steen en keramiek. Sowieso hou ik van het verstilde dat ik in de galleries aantrof en het was dan ook iets wat ik vaker wilde toevoegen aan mijn lijst van to do’s in een nieuwe stad. De meeste plekken die ik bezocht had ik trouwens via mijn volgers op Instagram gevonden.
Toen ik samen met een vriendin en haar dochter Saint Tropez bezocht eerder dit jaar kwamen we langs Galerie Armel Soyer en natuurlijk moest ik even binnen kijken. Ik maakte wat foto’s en later mocht ik nog wat meer ontvangen van de supervriendelijke staf. Hier een impressie van de galerie, die zeker een bezoek waard is mocht je in Saint Tropez komen.
