Keeping the blog up and running and finding new products, homes or sharing my travels with you is an ongoing process and a lot of time, perseverance, research and patience sometimes is needed. I try to write two articles a week and so far after more than 15 years there were only a few weeks of silence.

I have been waiting for over a year or more, to show the first impression of SD Residence, a soon to be a five-bedroom, single-residential home tucked away in the beautiful Byron Bay hinterlands designed by Studio Brent Lee. A favourite on my blog as you might know. An impression with images and project info by Studio Brent Lee. I hope to show more when the project is realized.

SD Residence by Studio Brent Lee

As you enter the home, you’re greeted with a spiralling staircase finished in lime plaster soaked in natural sunlight from the circular skylight above. Further upon entry, you have your living, kitchen and dining with multiple window seating, built-in curved seating and indoor-outdoor entertaining areas to take in the stunning landscape

The primary suite upstairs comprises a large bedroom with an adjoining terrace looking out to Cape Byron Lighthouse, a sentimental aspect of the home, where the client proposed to his partner

The clients requested a resort-inspired outdoor area for entertaining. So Studio Brent Lee integrated the pool fence into an indoor-outdoor entertaining area that cleverly conceals the unsightly fence while complying with all building regulations. This transformed into a Mediterranean resort feeling of open, flowing space with no visual obstruction as you enjoy the tumbled travertine infinity pool and surrounding gardens.
