When I was asked to report on Living Kitchen at imm Cologne in 2019. I first heard about this new development in cooking: an ‘invisible’ cooktop, but after that I personally didn’t hear much about it anymore. I was therefore very pleased when I received an invitation to the official presentation of the Gaggenau Essential Induction, a unique new development in the kitchen for which Cosentino and Gaggenau joined forces.
Gaggenau, a brand we know for its high-quality household appliances, launched the Essential Induction, an invisible induction cooktop that can be seamlessly and exclusively integrated into Dekton worktops.
Gaggenau Essential Induction
At the Cosentino City in Amsterdam we were introduced to this new and flexible way of cooking, which really appeals to me as a lover of minimal design and clean surfaces. A real aesthetic design choice!
The cooktop is seamlessly integrated into the Dekton worktop, which. I thought it was beautiful in itself. Together they form a minimalist masterpiece with just one LED light point that intuitively links the front-mounted controls to the cooking zone in use.
The new induction cooktop is designed to integrate exclusively with Dekton worktops which are available in 60 different finishes and colors to suit any kitchen design. After cooking, the worktop can be used like any other kitchen worktop. For this technique, Gaggenau developed removable, magnetic protectors that ensure the guidance of the induction modules, protect the worktop and allow you to use your existing pans.
If you want to see this cooktop for yourself, visit Cosentino City on the van Baerlestraat in Amsterdam and discover all the possibilities of Essential Induction. More info can also be found here at the Gaggenau website.
